The flood disaster in the Kudus region, Central Java, last March 2024 did not escape the attention of Avian Brands Peduli. As an embodiment of one of its CSR program pillars, namely disaster response, Avian Brands Peduli has distributed direct assistance in the form of food and beverages to residents displaced by the flood disaster in Kudus.
The assistance consisted of 200 cartons of instant noodles, 400 cartons of Cleo mineral water (220 ml size), and 200 packages of 5 kg rice. The total assistance, valued at Rp 47,600,000, was handed over to PMI Demak to then be distributed to Kudus residents affected by the disaster.
Since mid-March 2024, the flood disaster, which initially affected several villages in Kudus, has expanded. At its peak, no less than 29 villages experienced the flood disaster, causing thousands of people to be forced to evacuate from a total of tens of thousands of affected residents. These displaced residents were then spread across several evacuation points such as village halls, places of worship, residents' homes, educational institutions, and the Kudus Regional House of Representatives building hall.
The large and continuously increasing number of displaced persons and disaster-affected residents necessitated a great deal of food aid to be distributed immediately. Therefore, Avian Brands Peduli carried out a disaster response action for the Kudus flood as a form of humanitarian concern by distributing direct food and beverage assistance.
“We welcome with open arms anyone who wishes to provide assistance to the residents of Kudus and are very grateful to Avian Brands for the food aid provided. This assistance is very beneficial for the displaced residents in several locations,” said a representative of the aid recipients.
