December 2018 – The 'petik laut' (sea harvest) tradition is one of the routines performed by coastal residents every year-end. A total of 200 boats in Dungkek village, Sumenep Madura, are now renewed after the fishermen collectively repainted them using Avian Wood and Iron Paint. The traditional ceremony serves as an expression of gratitude, as well as a prayer for blessings and safety for the fishermen.
