The beauty of a home is partly seen from its exterior appearance. Paint that adheres strongly and is easy to clean keeps the exterior wall color of the house beautiful.

Exterior walls are the part of the house most frequently exposed to changing weather conditions such as heat, rain, wind, and direct sunlight. If you choose the wrong paint for the exterior walls of your house, your house paint will peel, get dirty, and grow mold more easily.

Here are tips for choosing quality exterior paint.

1. Choose paint that is resistant to all weather conditions

Paint that is resistant to all weather conditions contains ingredients that make walls resistant to weather exposure, moss, and mold. By using paint that is resistant to all weather conditions, the exterior of your house will look beautiful for longer.

2. Use paint that makes walls easy to wash & clean

Because of their outdoor position, exterior walls are more prone to dirt and dust. Therefore, use paint containing a special formulation of Nature Guard Technology which prevents stains and dust from easily adhering, thus providing perfect protection for the exterior surface against all weather conditions.

Nature Guard Technology also makes walls easy to clean, resistant to scrubbing and repeated washing. Remarkably, even with repeated washing, it will not damage the beauty of the wall paint color & will not peel.

The only paint that adopts the Nature Guard Technology formula is Sunguard Powerful Exterior Paint. Sunguard is a high-quality paint made from 100 percent superior acrylic materials, formulated for all new or previously painted exterior walls.

3. Apply the paint correctly

It would be in vain if you have chosen good quality exterior paint but applied it incorrectly. Specifically for Sunguard, prepare the surface first by ensuring that the entire surface is dry and clean, free from dust, stains, oil, and not contaminated with other materials or dirt. Remove any peeling or damaged paint until clean.

Then, clean moldy and mossy areas (it is recommended to use Lenkote Biocidal Wash), repair small holes or fine cracks (it is recommended to use Lenkote Wall Putty), and avoid using putty to cover the entire exterior wall surface.

For new walls made of cement plaster or concrete, the wall surface must be completely dry. For old walls, if the adhesion and condition of the old paint are still good, it can be painted directly. If the old paint is chalking, scrape off the chalking parts and then apply one coat of primer (Lenkote Alkali Resisting Primer is recommended) to increase adhesion & coverage.

Another advantage of Sunguard is that it has thousands of color options to suit your needs. These colors are grouped into eight inspiration color categories, namely red, orange, yellow, neutral, ocean, green, purple, and blue.

"Choosing wall paint is not just about beautiful colors that do not fade easily, making walls always look new. Besides that, other factors must also be considered, such as being easy to apply, having good spread and coverage, adhering perfectly to the wall, and thus being able to protect the building to last longer," said Novi Christiana, Deputy Marketing Director of Avian Brands.

Sunguard Powerful Exterior Paint will make your home's exterior wall paint always beautiful, not easily faded, and always look new.
